If You're Doubting Yourself

If you're afraid you'll never succeed.

If you're afraid you'll never find love.

If you're afraid you'll find love again.

You are not alone (cues Michael Jackson song and slowly sway) while you digest this message.

You are never alone. You'll be surprised how many people have similar if not the same fears as you. Watching 12 seasons of Criminal Minds has taught me, even serial killers have support groups. Everyone experiences doubt but you can't let it STOP YOU.

We doubt ourselves because we believe it's impossible, we're not special enough, bad luck or even worse opinions of others.

We have a blueprint in our minds, filled with deadlines, goals and impact for our lives and fear creeps in to keep us safe.

We fear criticism, blame and rejection and fear allows you to play it small, so whatever happens the impact won't be catastrophic but neither will your RESULTS!

You can't just be a dreamer and not take risks. You have to do the work, even though things may not going according to plan.

Thomas Edison- I have not failed. I just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Honestly, the most success people have failed more times than they can count. And most receive the harshest criticism and rejection.

Rejection: The producer of the King Kong reboot brought Meryl Streep to his son for her to audition for the lead role and he questioned his father "Why did you bring me this ugly thing".

Ultimately, Meryl did not get the part, but talk about a shot to the ego but NOPE! Meryl kept on auctioning and as of today is arguably one of Hollywood's A list Stars. She didn't let rejection of one man stop the show.

Doubt: Oprah Winfrey's first boss told her she was too emotional and not a good fit for tv.

Oprah could have allowed those words to deter her dreams and she could've been a maid just like her mother and grandmother. But no, she didn't allow his opinion stir her from her plans. Now

Oprah is one of the richest women in television History!

You have to build an outer armor and be ready to fight for the life you want. No one is going to work as hard as you to make your dreams a reality.

You have to wake up EVERY morning with the tenacity, drive and passion of a Five hour old trying to get their mom to buy them a toy in the store.

They NEVER GIVE UP. They won't let her say no without a fight. And even if the parent manages to make it out the store without buying the toy. The kid won't shut up about it.

Every time they see something they want, they'll go after it, just as passionate each time. No matter how many times, Mom says NO.

Channel your inner child and get resilient and say FUCK doubt and go after what you want because YOU DESERVE IT!
