3 Lessons I Learned From Drinking Games

1. JUST DO IT- Take a shot!

Flash back to a moment when you lose a round in the game and it’s your turn to drink…you hesitate, sip it than cringe.

You're already anticipating this to be a terrible experience.

My advice to you...don’t baby sit the shot! Just take it straight to the head. Don’t drag the moment out any longer than it needs to be. Just do it.

When it comes to my business and I want to do something I’ve never done, I literally chant to myself “DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! As if people were cheering me on to get it done already.

Sometimes you just needs that extra boost to get through.

You see confidence comes from experience, it isn’t a personality trait, that everyone makes it out to be. So if I’m prepping myself to do something new or uncertain, I need to just TAKE THE SHOT!  Hurry up and get it over with because once you do it you’ll realize how simple it is and you’ll be comfortable to do it again.

Life is too short to NOT go after what you want!  The only thing holding you back is yourself.

So take the shot! 2. DRINK UP- Take the pressure off

Allow yourself to live in the moment and have fun! Every moment doesn’t need to be calculated and planned out.

Uncertainty is okay!  Can you imagine eating spaghetti and meatballs every night for the next 5 years? Ahh yeah, you would be miserable. You need to add some variety to your life. Even if it's just small actions. Taking a different route home, eating sushi for breakfast, trying out a spin class.

Spice up your life (Insert Spice Girls song).

Ask yourself daily WHAT AM I CRAVING? Your brain will tell you what it needs. Maybe that's a walk in the park, mani/pedi, or my favorite, a nap, just relax and take the edge off.

I realized, when I'm stuck on a project and I step back and do something else, I get a spark of creativity and come back juiced up, ready to go!  Once you begin listening to what your body wants you'll be able to jump out of the box! Your creative juicies will start flowing, uncontroably.

Every drink won't be your style and that's okay but you have to try and see what works best for you.

I've signed up for countless programs (free and paid) to teach me how to make money in my coaching business, and they all have taught it different ways.

There isn't only one way to solve a problem. You just need to figure out what works best for you!

And the only way to do that is to try things out.

You'll never know how things will work out UNTIL you try.

BONUS: Environment

The more you like the company the better! Make sure you surround yourself with fun vibrant people who's company you enjoy.

In business surround yourself with people who are going to challenge you to be a better person! Someone who is going to call you out on your BS and not bat an eye.

Someone who is ready to take the leap with you.

Remember: it isn't always what you know but how you know!

Make sure you're keeping AMAZING people around you, that you can build with.
